To establish and incorporate a teaching university in the state of

Gujarat to be known as the Birsa Munda Tribal University at Rajpipla

District, Narmada, to develop flexible and innovative academic and

research programs in emerging areas, with special reference to the tribal

population of Gujarat, Birsa Munda Tribal University was established

by Tribal Development Department, Government of Gujarat,

Gandhinagar with Act-15 since April-2017. The university was formally

started since October-2017 at Rajpipla Dist: Narmada.

The primary objective of the University shall be to create equitable

multiple socio-economic growth centers of excellence besides the

following objective, namely:-

i. To provide avenues of higher education and research facilities

primarily for the tribal population of the State of Gujarat;

ii. To develop different patterns of teaching for certificate or diploma

courses, under graduate and post-graduate courses and at Doctoral

& Post Doctoral levels and to maintain a high standard of

education.

iii. To establish Centers of Excellence or independent research

centre(s), museums, etc…, to impart the knowledge of Tribal

Traditions, Tribal Art and Culture, Tribal Language; to promote

traditional food, Live Stock, Dairy Development, Organic

Farming, Forestry, Ecology, Environmental Science, Eco-tourism,

Agriculture, Farming, Minor Forest Produce(MFP), Ayurvedic

Traditional Medicines, Marketing, Business Management and

Forest related and other skills of various tribes including PVTG in

Gujarat;

iv. To formulate tribal centric development model; publish reports

and monographs; to organise conferences, seminars, etc…, on

issues relating to tribes; to provide inputs with regard to policy

matters in different spheres to the State Government.

Now days, Narmada district has become the tourist attraction at

world level due to the Statue of Unity. Therefore, the university also

strives and plans to undertake the courses like Tourism Management,

Dairy Technology, and Herbal Medicines. The University will also

enact and plays bridging role by making the traditional Herbal and

Organic items of high standards.

In modern times people gets much attracted towards Nature to get

relaxed and cherish free time. Life in the lap of nature dissolves stress

and relieves human. Hence life of Tribal community living in the lap of

nature has become the centre of attraction. The very aim and objective is

to bring out the life style of Tribal community by highlighting their

Online applications are invited for Direct Recruitment on All India Competitive Examination basis for the following posts:- It may be noted that posting to Headquarters and any specific Regional Offices/CoEs/ACCPD Rai Bareilly  will  not  be  a  matter  of  right,  of  any  candidate,  but  will  depend  only  on  administrative requirement, if any. The Board has developed and expanded significantly from year 1929 (which was then named as the 'Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Rajputana) to reach to its present status. In year 1952, the Board was given its present name 'Central Board of Secondary Education'. It was in the year 1962 finally that the Board was reconstituted. The main objectives of the Board were to serve the educational institutions more effectively, to be responsive to the educational needs of those students whose parents were employed in the Central Government and had frequently transferable jobs. The Board has grown at a rapid pace over the years and its present jurisdiction has stretches beyond the national geographical boundaries. From 309 schools in 1962, the Board as on 28.06.2024 has 29340 schools in India and 257 schools in 25 foreign countries. There are 1247 Kendriya Vidyalayas, 5280 Government/Aided Schools, 22408 Independent Schools, 648 Jawahar Novodaya Vidyalayas and 14 Central Tibetan Schools. In order to execute its functions effectively, Regional Offices have been set up by the Board in different parts of the country to be more responsive to the affiliated schools. the Board has 18 Regional Offices & COE’s located at Ajmer, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi (East), Delhi (West), Dubai (UAE), Guwahati, Noida, Panchkula, Patna, Prayagraj, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Vijayawada locations. The CBSE headquarter constantly monitors the activities of the Regional Offices. Although, sufficient powers have been vested with the Regional Offices, issues involving policy matters are, however, referred to the Head office.
